The base typically houses reinforcement, which is typically rebar or wire mesh. The concrete is specified to a thickness that is appropriate for its use. For instance, driveways for cars and light trucks typically have a four-inch thickness. Also specified is the concrete mix, which is typically a 4000 psi mix in areas with severe
